Barn kitchen
The inspiration for this kitchen came from the Jens Risom’s 1967 Block Island Retreat. To keep costs low, we used Ikea cabinets with apple ply fronts, sprayed with a dark orange/ red matched from the 60’s Formica palette. The ply open shelves and reclaimed oak planking are inspired by Risom’s original design. A cherry dining table and Akari paper light complete the take on a 60s look.
